 | The MX1 Track and Field Timing System (TFTS) is an infrared timing

Range
The MX1 TFTS timing system uses two
types of wireless communication. The first is infrared or IR. the IR
beam establishes the beam across a gate for the start or finish line.
The IR range of the MX1 is 50 feet.
The second is the radio communication
the system uses to start and stop the timer. The radio range is around
200 feet. This can be greatly increased by adding the high gain external
antennas.

System Limitations
The MX1 works with a variety of timers sold
here, including a large display, and computer software. You are free to
purchase as many different timers as you like. However, you can only
plug one timer into the Radio receiver at a time. So if you get the
Upgraded Robic timer, and the MX25 display as many people do, you can
only use them one at a time.

Standard Timer - INCLUDED IN PACKAGES
Our standard electronic timer is the Olso brand
stopwatch. This economical timer is hard wired into the system to give
accurate times down to the 1/100 of a second. Split times are not
available. while we do offer this unit to our price conscious customers,
the upgrade below for just $17.00 is highly recommended.

The Robic Stopwatch

The upgraded stopwatch is the Robic SC-505 digital
chronometer. It is well known among track coaches as the most accurate
stopwatch on the market. This fine timing unit boasts

MX25 Professional Display
The MX1 runs very well off any 12 volt battery with
the use of a Dc inverter available at any Radio Shack, Walmart, etc. Or
get one on Ebay for 10 dollars or less.

| The MX25 Professional display is made of over 140 Super Bright
LEDs.
| It is fully visible in direct sunlight at up to 150 feet.
| The screen is 4.5 inches high, with digits of three inches.
| The MX25 Professional display runs on a 12 volt adapter which is
supplied with the unit. Or you can purchase the optional Car adapter
to plug it right into the cigarette lighter of your car or truck.
Any 12 volt source will work.
| The MX25 Professional Display also shows split times. When
the split beam is broken, the MX25 will freeze the running time for
1.5 seconds before returning to live time.
| The MX25 records up to 8 split times for viewing after the run.
| The MX25 has 4 digits, and displays time down to the 1/100th of a
second.
After 99.99 seconds the display will switch over and display minutes
and seconds. BUT.... when the time is stopped, it will flash
back and show both minutes and seconds, AND hundredth of seconds at
the same time. |

SprintTrax Software
With the SprintTrax software, you can plug the MX1 Radio receiving
unit right into a serial port of a laptop computer. Then add all the
runners into the database. Once the athletes' data are in the database
you will never need to add them again. Just double click on the
athlete in the database, and the name will appear in the race grid as
shown above. The computer will then keep time and split times for all
atheletes.
The SprintTrax Timing Software is an excellent way to manage an entire
track team.
But the best part about the SprintTrax software is that it' Free.
Just buy an inexpensive computer cable, and we will include the
SprintTrax Software at no charge.

Split Beams
Split
beams are extra sets of electric eyes that give precise times at any
point in the middle of a sprint. A coach can see where the runner is
at the half way point of a 100 meter sprint, or check the 10 meter
acceleration time on a 40 meter sprint.

Touchpad
Any of the MX1 IR Receivers can be put into Touchpad
mode just by pressing the mode button until the auxiliary light
flashes. Then just set the box on the ground and have the runner press
firmly on the MODE button. When the button is released, the unit will
instantly transmit the start pulse to whatever timer you are using.
Note... Since the transmitter will be on the ground
during this type of use, the RF range can be diminished. If you are
planning to use it in this manner you should add the high gain
external antenna to at least one of your IR receivers.

Range
Range is the distance between the starting or finish
line to the Radio receiver.
We advertise the MX1 system at 200 feet with good line of site. But if
you want to run a 100 meter sprint, you will need a little more range.
By adding our high gain external antennas you greatly increase the
standard range and more. Even if you do not need the extra range, at
only $14.00 each, it's a great way to insure you get every signal
every time.
