    • The DEX II is a forward-rotating, user-controlled inversion machine. The body is placed in a 90/90 position, which helps to flatten the lumbar curve for greater separation of lower vertebrae. Traction is applied to the hip joints and spine, with no loads to the ankles and knee joints. The DEX II is ideal for back extension exercises - it works like a roman chair, but with better ergonomic support – and the unique traction handles offer a method for stretching and increased decompression.


    Exercises

    The DEX • decompression & extensionTM allows users to rotate forward in a bent knee / bent hip position, which decompresses the hip joint and spinal column and provides a comfortable platform for stretching and exercise.

    Full inversion

    Rotate into a fully inverted position for decompression and relaxation. Compared to similar equipment, the DEX reduces the load on the hamstrings by placing knees in the relaxed 90 position, rather than straight. (Read this PDF file roman-vs-dex.pdf to learn more.)

    Add traction, using the unique Traction Handles for leverage, to achieve increased decompression to your lower back.

    Move and stretch, using the handles and frame for leverage, to improve flexibility and promote healthy joints.

    Perform back extensions to strengthen the lower back muscles. This unit places users in a body position relevant to gravity that maximizes muscle performance while tempering the risk of hyperextension.

    Perform rotational back extensions to strengthen the obliques.

    Crunches help build core strength and can be performed on this unit with virtually no loads on the back.
