This hamstring stretching device was invented by Steve Nichols, the inventor of the Jacobs Ladder exercise machine.  It is true that "necessity is the mother of invention."  Steve's hamstrings were almost always tight and sore.  The only way to get a comfortable and effective stretch was to have another person push the leg back.  The big trick was coming up with a way of keeping the knee from bending.  An extra bonus was having the ability to do PNFs or isometrics.

In the process of researching hamstrings it was discovered that Steve's left hamstring was much tighter than his right.  This caused the pelvis to tilt to the left.  This in turn caused his lower spine to slide out of place, sending him to the chiropractor twice a month.  Since doing a lot of stretching, doctor visits have been reduced significantly.

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing in regards to a new innovative piece of exercise equipment, called the "Hamstretch."

The Hamstretch has been specifically designed to stretch the hamstring muscle group. It is the first piece of equipment that I have come across that does exactly that it says it will do and is sturdy for home and professional applications.

Because it easily isolates the hamstrings, it will allow the user to specifically target their hamstrings - with no cheating. This yields far better results than the usual run of the mill hamstring stretches, like touching your toes, where inevitable cheating will occur.

The reason why the hamstring muscle group is so important is its relations to the pelvic girdle (hips) and low back. The hamstrings attach to the pelvis at the bottom of the buttock region. A tight hamstring will put excess stress on the pelvis, thus causing a pelvic imbalance by pulling on one side of the pelvis. This imbalance is responsible for a significant percentage of the low back and hip problems, which result in pain, loss of work and the inability to exercise.

I have personally used the Hamstretch and it was so easy and effective that I now use it with my patients in my chiropractic office. They love it for its easy use design and I enjoy the significantly improved results - with less time and effort!

The Hamstretch is, by far, the most cost effective and well-built piece of equipment I have ever seen for stretching the hamstrings. If people knew how important the hamstrings are to their spinal health, everybody would use the Hamstring. It is a must-have for Chiropractors, Physical Therapists, Rehab centers, personal trainers and health clubs.

Sincerely,

Dr. Len DeFazio
